Paid storage on Uzum: what happens if turnover exceeds 60 days

On FBO, goods sit in the Uzum warehouse, and most of the time that is free. But unsold stock eats money every day — and many sellers do not see this cost in their books at all.
When it is free
- Any SKU with turnover of 60 days or less is free.
- New SKUs are also free at first: clothing, shoes and accessories, and part of FMCG — 60 days, the rest — 30 days.
How turnover is calculated
Turnover (days) = average stock over the last 15 days ÷ average daily sales over the last 15 days.
Example: 600 units in the warehouse, 10 sold a day → 60 days, storage is free. Sales fall to 5 a day → 120 days, storage becomes paid. If there were no sales in the last 15 days, the SKU goes straight into the most expensive group.
Fees (per liter per day)
- 0–60 days — free;
- 61–180 days — 12 UZS;
- 181–360 days — 18 UZS (14 in special categories);
- more than 361 days — 24 UZS (18 in special categories);
- daily limit per unit — 5,000 UZS (3,000 in special categories).
The fee is recalculated and charged daily.
What that comes to in money
A product in a 9-liter box, 100 units in stock, turnover 120 days: 9 × 12 × 100 = 10,800 UZS a day, about 324,000 UZS a month. If sales stall and the SKU moves into the 361+ group — about 648,000 UZS a month. This is exactly the sum that often answers the question “where did the profit go?”.
Check your product: the logistics and storage calculator calculates turnover and the monthly storage cost.
How to avoid it
- Ship a batch sized to your sales. Daily sales × 45–60 days is a good guideline for FBO.
- Check turnover once a week. A SKU approaching 60 days is a signal to adjust price, advertising or run a promotion.
- Take out dead stock or move it to FBS: if storage costs more than the margin, keeping the item in the warehouse loses money.
