FBO, FBS or DBS: which scheme to choose on Uzum

FBO, FBS or DBS: which scheme to choose on Uzum

There are three ways to sell on Uzum. The scheme determines not only logistics, but also your costs, risks and rating.

FBO — goods in the Uzum warehouse

You bring the goods to the Uzum warehouse and the marketplace does the rest: storage, picking, delivery and handling returns. In Tashkent, delivery is usually next day.

  • Pro: no order handling, fast delivery.
  • Risk: paid storage for slow-moving stock — if turnover is above 60 days.
  • Best for: small and medium products that sell quickly.

FBS — goods in your warehouse

The goods stay with you. When an order arrives, you pack it and hand it over at a drop-off point, and Uzum delivers it to the buyer. Commission and logistics are the same as on FBO.

  • you must confirm assembly within 16 hours;
  • your warehouse schedule must cover at least 5 working days a week;
  • cancelling after 24 hours — a penalty of 9% of the order amount (minimum 10,000, maximum 360,000 UZS);
  • an order heavier than 20 kg is split into packages;
  • food products are prohibited on FBS (except sports nutrition).

Best for: manufacturers, stores with their own warehouse, bulky goods the Uzum warehouse does not accept, and for testing an assortment.

DBS — you store and deliver yourself

Both storage and delivery are on you. You set the delivery time yourself, from 1 to 5 days. There is no separate delivery fee — build it into the price; you cannot charge the buyer for delivery.

  • confirm the order within 16 hours and contact the buyer on the first working day;
  • cancelling within 12 hours is free, after that the penalty grows from 3% to 9%;
  • live animals can only be sold via DBS.

Watch your rating

FBS and DBS have a separate reputation score: cancellations over the last 8 days are subtracted from 100%. Below 80% on FBS (with 10+ orders) or below 89% on DBS, the scheme is blocked for 3 days. More in the article on cancellations and penalties.

In short

FBO is usually easiest for a beginner, but only with a product whose demand has been verified. If the product is untested or bulky, starting on FBS lowers the risk.
