Photos and video for an Uzum listing: requirements and higher conversion

A buyer cannot touch the product, so they decide by photo and video. A good photo is the cheapest tool for raising conversion.

Technical requirements

  • Photo: 750×1000 pixels, 3:4 ratio; JPEG, WebP or PNG, up to 5 MB.
  • For each SKU at least one front photo.
  • The product must take up more than half of the frame.
  • Video: MP4, at least 1080×1440, 3:4, up to 10 MB, no music.

Exact requirements may change — check the listing requirements before uploading.

Photo order

  1. Main photo — on a white or plain background, the whole product visible. Only this one is seen in search.
  2. Infographic — 3–4 main advantages and short text.
  3. Sizes and size chart — for clothing, shoes, appliances.
  4. Use — the product in use or on a model.
  5. Packaging and contents — what is included.
  6. Details — material, seams, joints.

Infographic rules

  • Short, readable text: a large font visible on a phone.
  • One idea per photo.
  • Do not write what cannot be proven ("best", "No. 1").
  • Do not show a feature in the photo that is not in the listing text: it leads to returns.

Video

A short video (10–20 seconds) shows how the product works: opening, size, material. The most important shot goes first, and no music is used.

What to test

Change the main photo and compare CTR, change the infographic and compare conversion. Change one thing at a time and observe for at least 7 days (metrics).

Common mistakes

  • Someone else's photo with a watermark.
  • The colour in the photo differs from the real one: returns grow.
  • No sizes, so the buyer writes "runs small".
