Advertising on Uzum: “Boost to TOP”, “Boost orders”, promotions and promo codes

There are five main ways to promote a product on Uzum. They are paid for differently — and each has a place where profit quietly leaks.
“Boost to TOP” — pay per impression
- the CPM model — a rate per 1,000 impressions; the rate is set separately for a category (catalog) or a key phrase (search);
- example: a rate of 7,000 UZS, 2,000 impressions = 14,000 UZS;
- minimum campaign budget — 150,000 UZS, a budget for a calendar week, the remainder does not burn;
- spending mode: “As fast as possible” or “Evenly” (up to 20% of the budget per day);
- in search you can set negative keywords.
You pay for impressions, not sales. If the card is weak — photos, price, reviews — money goes out and no orders come in.
“Boost orders” — pay for results
- the CPO model — a percentage of the sale price: product 100,000 UZS, rate 2% → 2,000 UZS;
- the money is charged an hour after the buyer receives the product; orders cancelled before receipt are not paid for;
- there is no budget, and it can be combined with “Boost to TOP” — the rates add up.
For launching a new product this is the safer option: you pay only for real sales.
Timed promotions
A temporary discount with a crossed-out price and a timer. 200 quotas for 30 days. The product must be in stock, have a studio photo and not be blocked. The recommended discount is calculated from the lowest price over the last 30 days.
Promo calendar and commission
Marketplace promotions with conditions on minimum discount and price. An important point is the commission:
- if the discounted price moves down by one commission tier, the commission stays the same;
- if by two tiers or more — the commission is calculated on the final price by its tier.
Before joining a promotion, recalculate profit at the new price.
Promo codes — where mistakes are most common
A promo code discount is entirely at the seller's expense and does not affect the commission: the commission is withheld as if the product were paid at 100%. Example: product 200,000 UZS, promo code 20%, commission 15%. The buyer pays 160,000, and the commission is 30,000 (not 24,000). The maximum discount is 50% of the store's goods in the cart.
How to measure effectiveness
The main metric is DRR (share of advertising costs): costs ÷ sales × 100. If DRR is higher than your net margin, the advertising loses money. The MARGN store cabinet shows advertising costs and ACOS for each SKU next to net profit — Net profit and P&L.
