Returns and reviews on Uzum: what a seller needs to know

Returns and reviews directly affect both a card's rating and your profit. Knowing the rules, you can avoid many losses.
Returns
- A buyer can return a product of proper quality within 10 days — provided its appearance and properties are preserved.
- Quality claims are accepted during the warranty period, and if there is none, within 6 months.
- Defective goods must be collected from the warehouse within 30 days — otherwise it counts as consent to disposal.
- For invoices from July 14, 2025, returns are stored free for 10 days, after that it is paid.
- Disposal at the seller's request: small items 4,000, medium 8,000, large 40,000 UZS per unit.
- For technically complex goods, the seller carries out diagnostics at their own expense.
A large number of returns can lower a card's rating. Watch the reasons: size charts, photos and inaccuracies in the description are the most common.
Reviews
- Reviews are published after moderation; insults, duplicates and advertising are rejected.
- A negative review can be blocked only with the buyer's consent (a screenshot of the conversation) and only within 14 days of publication.
- A review about a “counterfeit” is removed after you provide authenticity documents; the review takes up to 3 working days.
- Writing reviews of your own products, including through affiliated persons, is prohibited — sanctions apply.
- Pinning a good review costs 1,000 UZS per day per product.
Chat with the buyer
According to Uzum, a reply within the first 3 minutes gives up to 80% conversion to purchase. Under consumer rights law, a seller must provide information no later than 3 days — watch the chat both before and after the purchase. Mass mailings and spam are prohibited.
Impact on profit
Returns reduce revenue and sometimes add costs — show them as a separate line in the net profit calculation. AI Reviews is coming soon to the MARGN store cabinet.
